Altadena Pride, founded in 2021 by town councilmember Nic Arnzen, will celebrate 5 years of resilience, resistance and joy this year with their annual free festival.

Despite a challenging year of rebuilding and healing, this year’s festival will continue. The festival will originate outside the Altadena Community Center, after which a group march will wind through the center of Altadena, ending in the traditional group photo at the Grocery Outlet Welcome to Altadena mural.

Attendees will have then have the option to attend a welcoming spiritual gathering for all faiths at the CORE hub before heading to Triangle Park for art, free lunch, and performances. The day concludes with the main event at the newly reopened Altadena Community Center, beginning at 2:00 pm with entertainment, resource tables, a Youth Sanctuary, art, and refreshments.

Each event exists as a stand-alone, so participants are welcome to join for the whole tour or meet us for any individual element they are drawn to.

Throughout the day there will be appearances and speeches by surprise guests. As always the entire days’ worth of activities, events, and food are free. The official website for information is here.

      Event Schedule

10:00 am: Opening Ceremony outside the Altadena Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Dr., Altadena, CA 91001.

10:45 am: Neighborhood Walk towards Grocery Outlet for group photo.

11:00 am: Spiritual Gathering at CORE, 2333 Lake Ave.

12:00 pm: Dance Performance followed by free lunch in Triangle Park and Art Alley on Fontanet Way

2:00 pm: Main Festival opens at the Altadena Community Center.

      5:30 pm: Begin wrap-up/pack-up.
