Colorado Boulevard Newspaper is an independently owned community publication committed to editorial independence, journalistic integrity, accuracy, transparency, accountability, and fact-based reporting.
Our responsibility is to our readers and the communities we serve. We strive to provide accurate, fair, and meaningful journalism that informs the public and contributes to an informed civic community.
Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors, political candidates, campaigns, and other outside interests.
- Editorial Independence
Colorado Boulevard Newspaper maintains a clear separation between editorial content and advertising.
Advertising revenue does not determine whether a story is published, how it is reported, or how prominently it is presented. No story will be suppressed, removed, minimized, or promoted because of an advertising relationship.
Advertisers, sponsors, candidates, campaigns, and other outside parties do not control our editorial decisions.
Final decisions regarding coverage, publication, recommendations, endorsements, and editorial standards remain with the editorial team.
- Accuracy and Fact-Checking
We strive to publish information that is accurate and supported by reliable sources.
Our journalists and contributors are expected to make reasonable efforts to verify important factual claims before publication. When appropriate, we seek information from primary documents, public records, official sources, direct interviews, and other credible sources.
We distinguish factual reporting from opinion, commentary, analysis, reviews, and other forms of subjective content.
When an article contains information that is disputed or cannot be independently verified, we seek to provide appropriate context and attribution.
- Fairness and Context
We strive to present information fairly and in appropriate context.
When reporting on allegations, disputes, controversies, or matters involving significant public interest, we make reasonable efforts to contact relevant parties and provide them with an opportunity to respond when appropriate.
The publication of a response or opposing viewpoint does not necessarily mean that Colorado Boulevard Newspaper agrees with it.
- Sources and Attribution

- Political and Election Coverage
Colorado Boulevard Newspaper provides coverage of candidates, campaigns, ballot measures, elections, and public policy based on editorial judgment and newsworthiness.
Candidates and ballot-measure campaigns may purchase advertising, but advertising does not determine editorial coverage.
Editorial coverage, recommendations, endorsements, interviews, news stories, and opinion pieces are governed by editorial considerations rather than advertising participation.
Opinion and guest-opinion material is identified as such. The views expressed by an opinion contributor are not necessarily those of Colorado Boulevard Newspaper.
- Corrections and Accuracy After Publication
We recognize that errors can occur in journalism. When we discover a factual error, or when a credible reader or source brings an error to our attention, we will review the matter and make a correction when warranted.
Our correction process includes:
- Reviewing the concern. We evaluate the information provided and compare it with the published material and available sources.
- Verifying the facts. When appropriate, we consult original documents, public records, sources, or other reliable evidence.
- Correcting errors promptly. If a factual error is confirmed, we will correct the article as appropriate.
- Providing transparency. Material factual corrections may include a correction notice explaining what was changed.
- Preserving the record. Corrections are intended to make the published record more accurate rather than conceal that an error occurred.
- Updating information when appropriate. Articles may be updated when new verified information becomes available. An update is not necessarily a correction if the original information was accurate when published.
Minor typographical, spelling, formatting, or grammatical errors may be corrected without a formal correction notice when they do not materially change the meaning of the article.

Readers, sources, organizations, and others who believe an article contains a factual error are encouraged to contact Colorado Boulevard Newspaper.
A correction request should, whenever possible, identify:

- Advertising and Sponsored Material
Advertising and other paid material are separate from independent editorial decision-making.
Paid or promotional material should not be presented in a manner intended to mislead readers about its commercial nature.
The purchase of advertising does not provide an advertiser with control over editorial coverage.

We believe trust is earned through transparency.
When appropriate, we will explain significant editorial decisions, disclose relevant conflicts, identify opinion and contributed material, and correct factual errors.
