      The end of summer is less than one month away! So don’t miss out on some of the great local concert series still being presented in the area.

      As the days cool (hopefully) and the days grow shorter many of these programs are coming to their season closures. Some of them are held outside in the open air and that’s always a great way to enjoy live music!

      Listed below are six venues with 19 very diverse presentations of musical tastes. You are bound to find something there; you might even have to make some very tough choices.

      Prices vary, many are free and all are very local and very enjoyable.

      – Vroman’s Summer Concert Music Series

      Vroman’s Courtyard, Pasadena

      • August 27, 5:00 pm – The Brazilian Music Trio (multi-percussionist Clarice Cast joined by friends) performing various Brazilian styles of music.
      • September 3, 5:00 pm – Mariachi Ensemble with the PCM faculty and friends coming together to perform Mariachi standards.

      – Adams Hill Arts Festival

      Adams Square Mini Park
      1020 E. Palmer Avenue, Glendale

      • August 27, 3:00 pm – First annual festival with original artwork from Adams Hill residents including painting, mixed media, photography, jewelry and musical performances. (Details here).
