Elizabeth Yang, an attorney with a diverse background in Electrical Engineering, Law, and Advocacy, has announced her candidacy for the District 2 seat on Monterey Park City Council.

Elizabeth Yang aims to leverage her extensive experience to create a more inclusive, thriving, and secure Monterey Park.
Elizabeth has expertise in Family Law, Intellectual Property, Estate Planning and Business Law. She has guided countless individuals through complex legal landscapes, drawing from her own experiences navigating challenging life transitions.
Elizabeth Yang said:
I am running for City Council to champion the causes that matter most to our community. My goal is to enhance business opportunities, improve public safety, empower our youth, and increase mental health awareness. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community.”
Elizabeth has a broad academic background including a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Her legal practice is complemented by her commitment to public service. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with her husband, children, and friends.
The seat representing District 2 is currently occupied by Yvonne Yiu. Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
