John Muir High School Seniors Earn High School Diplomas and 14 Associate Degrees (Photo – PCC)
In a remarkable achievement, eight seniors from John Muir High School Early College Magnet have earned their high school diplomas along with a combined total of 14 associate degrees through the Pasadena Unified School District’s (PUSD) Dual Enrollment program in collaboration with Pasadena City College (PCC).

These accomplished students, who began earning college credits as early as their ninth grade, have taken full advantage of the program, which allows them to earn up to two years of transferable college credit while still in high school. Classes are held on PCC’s Northwest Campus, conveniently located at Muir, making higher education more accessible and affordable.
The students, who are set to graduate with both high school diplomas and associate degrees in various fields, include:

Associate degrees in Law and Public Policy, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Humanities, and Associate of Science in Administration of Justice - Katherine Na
Associate degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences - Erica Wallace
Associate degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences
These exceptional students have been accepted to a number of prestigious colleges and universities, including the University of California Davis, UC Riverside, Howard University, Syracuse University, Fordham University, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, setting the stage for even greater success in the future.
