This Wednesday, April 22, Pasadena residents will have an opportunity to learn more about one of the region’s most ambitious efforts to improve watershed health and strengthen long‑term water supplies.
Pasadena Councilmember Tyron Hampton is hosting an Earth Day celebration focused on the Brookside Stormwater Capture Project, a major initiative designed to enhance the quality of runoff flowing into the Arroyo Seco and Los Angeles River while boosting groundwater replenishment for the Raymond Basin.
The event will take place from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Brookside Golf Club’s Mediterranean Room, located at 1133 Rosemont Ave., Pasadena. A special presentation on the project is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
Attendees will be able to review proposed improvements, explore nature‑based solutions, ask questions, and offer feedback on the project’s design and goals. Organizers say the gathering is intended to help residents better understand how stormwater capture can support both environmental health and local water resilience.
More information about the Brookside Stormwater Capture Project is available online.
