Driver Killed, 3 Seriously Injured in Angeles Crest Highway Crash (Photo – cityofpasadena)
A man was killed and three other people were seriously injured after a vehicle went over the side of Angeles Crest Highway late Wednesday night, according to the City of Pasadena.

Around 10:30 p.m, the Pasadena Fire Department and Pasadena Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle that had plunged several hundred feet down an embankment off Angeles Crest Highway. Officials said the vehicle, carrying four occupants, came to rest several hundred feet below the roadway, making rescue efforts difficult.
The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The three other occupants suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Pasadena officials thanked the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Glendale Fire Department and Montrose Search and Rescue for assisting with the challenging rescue operation.
No additional information about the cause of the crash or the identities of those involved was immediately available.
