Bring your own dish and attend Downtown Pasadena Neighborhood Association (DPNA)’s May meeting & potluck.
The meeting will kick off at 6:30pm with free potluck dinner and libations. Guests are welcome to contribute a dish/drink/snacks to the share, or just themselves. After about 30 minutes of good food and company, there will be a special presentation on draft plans for a new mixed use project on 770 E. Green Street, in the heart of the Playhouse District. The 10 minute presentation by the project team will be followed by up to 20 minutes of project questions and discussion.
– Proposed 273 units
The proposed 770 E. Green Street project consists of 273 units, approximately 20,000 SF of commercial floor area, 2 levels of subterranean parking, and a publicly accessible pocket park. 23 of the units (11%) would be set aside for very low income residents. 5 existing trees on the site are proposed to be protected and retained by the project team.
– Cordova Street enhancements
DPNA Board of Directors sent a letter last month in support of the proposal to complete the Cordova Street safety enhancements. In addition, we asked for more improvements.
The city responded favorably and has agreed to some of the equests, including more high-visibility crosswalks at all unsignaled intersections, curb extensions at 5 out of 6 intersections, and bike lane extending all the way to Arroyo Parkway, essentially giving students/residents a connected rollway from PCC to Del Mar Station.
