A Dense Fog Advisory was issued by the Los Angeles National Weather Service office on Monday, September 23, warning of widespread dense fog developing at the coast and spreading inland overnight.

When this happens, visibility frequently drops to one-quarter of a mile or less. This condition will make travel difficult. Residents are advised to take extra caution when on the road or to avoid driving if possible. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. The Dense Fog Advisory will expire Tuesday at 10:00 am.
Tuesday weather calls for sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Tuesday night will see increasing clouds, with a low around 56. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.
Wednesday forecast sees patchy dense fog before 11:00 am and returning Wednesday night after 11:00 pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Chantry Flat Reopens
After being closed to the public for four years due to the Bobcat Fire, Chantry Flat will open again on Wednesday, October 2nd. The gate will open at 6:00 am and close at 8:00 pm daily, as it was before the fire.
The Adams Pack Station plans to be open on October 2nd as well, from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. They will resume selling daily adventure passes (while supplies last) and offer information about which trails will be accessible and which to stay clear of.
