DENA Juneteenth 2024 Victory Lap will begin at Charles White Park promptly at 8:30 am, on Saturday, June 15. Attendees are urged to show up at 8:00 am, to receive a free DENA Juneteenth T-shirt and Victory Lap gifts.
Organizers are excited to collectively occupy space on the road with Low Riders, Bicyclist, and Pedestrians.
Attendees will march for Liberty, Justice, Equality, and Equity! They will demonstrate how we can safely share the road, be seen, be heard, and share positive community values! A Full Course Complimentary Breakfast will be provided at Metropolitan Baptist Church immediately following the Victory Lap! The DENA Juneteenth 2024 “Let Freedom Ring” Festival and Celebration will begin 10:30 am.
The My Tribe Rise group will also announce the winners of new scholarships for PUSD graduates created in honor of Harmony Hughes. Harmony was struck by an SUV Truck and succumbed to her injuries last August at the age of 15. These academic scholarships will be chosen and awarded at the Juneteenth Festival.
