For the first time in 20 months and 5 days, Delirium Musicum is back on stage as a whole ensemble, and as delirious as ever!
By News Desk
Influenced by the bustling artistic mosaic of L.A., this conductorless group applies dazzling creativity and boundless excitement to their performances.
Led from the violin by Etienne Gara, the ensemble reflects the artistic excellence and leadership of the young generation of musicians in Los Angeles. The ensemble’s small size allows the players to bond and connect intimately with the audience. The group’s performances are dedicated to inspiring wild excitement and ecstasy by engaging audiences with unapologetically fresh approaches to wide-ranging musical repertoire. Creative interpretation of the old masters, as well as collaboration with contemporary composers, generates new and exciting musical programs that speak to modern audiences.
Program
The group commented on the program by saying: “For these concerts, we are preparing for you a selection of old and new musical gems to be enjoyed at all ages!”:
- J.S. Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 3
- Antonio Vivaldi (with a twist): The Four Seasons concertos
Spring
Summer - Gianluca Bersanetti: Homage to The Fiddler
- Johannes Brahms: Hungarian Dance No.5 in an arrangement by Delirium Musicum’s composer in residence Gianluca Bersanetti
- Plus…a selection of old and new musical gems and DM hits
Everyone is invited to a post-concert reception to interact with the artists.
Safety precautions
The venue has procedures enacted in accordance with current public health policies, 1) face masks (correctly worn) are obligatory and 2) distanced seating between family groups is strongly recommended. If you’re showing any symptoms of illness, whether you think it’s Covid-related or not, we respectfully request that you do not enter and attend this concert.
