On Tuesday, August 27, at 8:22 pm, Pasadena Fire received calls to respond to a brush fire along the Arroyo Seco Trail.

The fire was between the Colorado Street Bridge and the Casting Ponds.
The fire was contained to 1/4 acre because of the time of day, decreased temperatures, increased humidity, lack of wind, and an aggressive response by Pasadena Fire personnel.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
