Scammers never sleep. Or sometimes it just seems so!

Twenty people in Pasadena called Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) customer service in one hour on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, to complain that scammers had called them to threaten the shutoff of services if payment was not made. PWP advised the customers that the calls were fake.
Spoofed number
The number spoofed was 626-744 4006. People were told to call another number, 866-541 6092, regarding payment. A phone call like this is extortion. PWP will never call to demand payment.
