      Briony James

      born of ranchos
      wild scrub foothills
      rising gilded domes
      crowns
      our city of roses

Briony James came to Altadena seven years back and can’t get enough of the beauty of the foothills and mountains, the urban bustle of Old Pasadena and all the arts that cram the city to the brim! She is occasionally seen haunting the galleries at the USC Pacific Asia Museum where she is a docent.

      stroll on the beach
      your weathered hand
      in mine
      wasn’t it just yesterday
      we were twenty-one

Stevie Strang lives in the Southern California beach town of Laguna Niguel with her Dolls, a dog named Emmy, and her husband of many moons. She is a Doll Conservator by trade, loves to garden, takes long walks on the beach, and is now living out her dream of writing stories and poems to go with her lifelong love of photography.

      I will need
      a fire permit
      for my birthday cake

Susan Delphine Delaney is a psychiatrist from Plano Texas who DOES need a fire permit for her birthday cake.
