Corrupt Alhambra Politicians Do Not Want Measure V to Pass!

If approved by voters this November, Measure V will limit the amount and source of money poured into its elections, and it will empower each district to elect its own district-based candidate.

Despite contrary “alternate facts” put forth by a non-existent group claiming to represent Alhambra residents, this is the truth about Measure V:

• Measure V would implement donor limits of $250 per person or entity, ban direct donations from developers, city contractors, and PACs and enact other protections to reduce the role of money in elections. Currently donations and their sources are unlimited.

• Measure V would change Alhambra’s voting system so that voters in a district will elect their own district-based City Council member. Currently all City Council members are elected by all voters in Alhambra, which gives power to voters outside a district to elect a district’s representative on the City Council.

Passing this measure is a necessary part of fighting corruption in Alhambra.
