Rep. Judy Chu presented a $680,000 check to the City of Alhambra to develop affordable housing, transportation and public spaces.

On Monday, August 22, Rep. Judy Chu (CA-27) presented a check of $680,000 to the City of Alhambra which will assist with the City’s Comprehensive Sustainability Plan.
This funding was secured by Rep. Chu through Community Project Funding via the annual Congressional appropriations process. Alhambra Mayor, Jeff Maloney, along with City Councilmembers and city staff were present for the occasion at Alhambra City Hall Council Chambers.
This funding will ensure Alhanbra is meeting its sustainability goals moving forward — supporting a broad range of public efforts such as developing affordable housing, creating sustainable mobility and public transportation options, promoting shared public spaces and more.
