The City of Pasadena released a complete and unredacted report on the officer-involved shooting of Anthony McClain on Thursday, April 20.  Pasadena Police Chief Eugene Harris also provided a memorandum concurring with most of the 27 recommendations provided in the review.

Many of the proposed recommendations are already in place. Others will be implemented in the near future. Pasadena police personnel have analyzed the recommendations and developed a plan for their implementation.

It is anticipated the report will be presented to the Public Safety Committee and/or the full City Council in May when a meeting can be scheduled.

“This process was thorough, professional and transparent by all who participated,” said Chief Harris, who was appointed to his position in January 2023.
