CicLAvia Returns to Pasadena This November

CicLAvia is coming back to Pasadena. The City of Pasadena has announced that CicLAvia Pasadena, an Open Streets event, will take place Sunday, November 15, 2026, in partnership with the nonprofit CicLAvia.

The free, non-ticketed event will invite the community to walk, bike, roll and stroll along a portion of Colorado Boulevard, one of Pasadena’s most iconic streets. For the event, part of the roadway will temporarily become a car-free public space, with connections to the Metro A Line’s Memorial Park Station.

CicLAvia Pasadena will highlight local businesses, cultural amenities and community hubs through activities, information booths and local programming. The event is partially funded by Los Angeles Metro, a community partner, as part of ongoing regional efforts to expand safe, sustainable and accessible mobility options.

Pasadena and CicLAvia last hosted an Open Streets event more than 10 years ago, in May 2015. Since then, CicLAvia has produced more than 65 Open Streets events across Southern California, working with cities and partners to reimagine how streets can serve communities beyond their traditional transportation function.

The event also aligns with Pasadena’s policies and Mobility Element goals by promoting carbon-free mobility, increasing awareness of pedestrian and bicycle safety, supporting community engagement and generating economic benefits by encouraging car-free access to local businesses. The effort is intended to advance healthier, safer and more sustainable transportation options.

The Old Pasadena Management District and Playhouse Village Association have expressed their support for the event and said they look forward to welcoming visitors to their districts.

More details, including route maps, street-closure information and community activities, will be shared in the coming weeks on the City of Pasadena and CicLAvia websites.
