      A Building Bridges: Solutions to Homelessness Zoom Webinar that explores ways to help provide bridge housing for unhoused neighbors and help them transition to permanent housing, will be held on May 20, 2021, at 5:30 pm.

      Learn the facts about our neighbors living outside, what is currently being done to end homelessness, what still needs to be done, and how you can help.

      Join this informative session to hear from a panel of experts including:

      • Laurie Craft, Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission
        Laurie Craft serves as the Chief Program Officer for Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission where she works tirelessly to build and operate client centered, effective programs that support people experiencing homelessness throughout the San Fernando and Antelope Valleys.
      • Patrick Diller, Pallet Shelters
        Patrick Diller is the Director of Sales & Business Development for Pallet, the Everett, WA based leader in providing non-congregate shelter solutions for people experiencing homelessness across the United States.
      • Shawn Morrissey, Union Station Homeless Services
        Shawn Morrissey serves as Senior Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement at Union Station Homeless Services with a mission to advocate for best practices and policies around homelessness, housing and housing sustainability.
      • Amara Ononiwu, Lake Avenue Church
        Amara Ononiwu is the Housing and Homelessness Outreach Coordinator at Lake Avenue Church and the chair of the Pasadena Partnership’s Faith Community Committee. She works to keep Pasadena families in their homes through emergency rental assistance and to congregate faith communities around ending homelessness.
      • Teresa Eilers, Union Station Homeless Services
        Teresa Eilers is the Program Specialist of Advocacy and Community Engagement at Union Station Homeless Services. She works to create legislative solutions and community support to ultimately end homelessness.
      • Cynthia Kirby, Union Station Homeless Services
        Cynthia Kirby serves on the Board of Directors of Union Station Homeless Services where she utilizes her own lived expertise gleaned from a decade of homelessness to guide and inform legislative change and to advocate for equitable and sustainable solutions to this human rights crisis. She serves with Making Housing and Community Happen as church liaison to First Baptist Church Pasadena.
      • Sonja Berndt, Moderator
        Sonja Berndt is a local Pasadena community activist. Upon retiring as a lawyer with the California Attorney General’s Office, Sonja has dedicated her time and energy to solving homelessness. She has taken the time to go through the homelessness system hand-in-hand with a Pasadena man currently experiencing homelessness, and also commits her time to system’s change to help others find their way out of homelessness.
