After a year of employment with the Pasadena Unified School District as a TV Producer/Director, Bobbie Ferguson has rejoined the Pasadena Media team as the new Director of Production.
By News Desk
Ferguson previously held the Head of Production role for over six years and significantly increased video programming for KPAS, the City of Pasadena’s government channel. She was also instrumental in Pasadena Media obtaining its first Emmy nomination and a number of additional awards, including a national Hometown Media Award in Overall Excellence in Combined P. E. or G. Access.
Ferguson has had a long career in community access and nonprofit video production. A graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Journalism and Technical Communications, she started her career as a video editor at Location Images in Minneapolis. After volunteering in AmeriCorps NCCC, Ms. Ferguson utilized her production skills at KOCT Oceanside Community Television and My Eye Media, helped start a new public access television station in Long Beach and then took on the Production Supervisor role at Pasadena Media in 2014.
“One of the most important resources that Pasadena Media provides to the community is sharing essential information about what’s happening in our city, whether it’s a press conference from our public safety departments, updates about utility services or program highlights from our public libraries. Having Bobbie in this role ensures a focus on creating these videos and helping us fulfill our mission as an operating company for Pasadena,” said Chris Miller, Chief Operating Officer.
George Falardeau, Executive Director CEO, said:
Bobbie has been an integral part in building great relationships with City staff and officials to produce award-winning shows that showcase Pasadena. We’re very happy to have her back to continue her good work and expand our video content for our city’s residents.
