Pasadena is inviting commuters to take part in Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 21, 2026, as part of the city’s ongoing Pasadena Bike Month celebrations. Pasadena Transit and Metro rides will also be free that day.

      By Melanie Hooks

Cyclists are encouraged to swap their usual commute for a ride on two wheels and join thousands of participants across Los Angeles County.

From 7:00 am to 9:30 am, riders can stop by City Hall for a morning meetup featuring coffee, snacks, and additional giveaways. The welcome stand will be located on the Garfield Avenue side of the building, and organizers note that some freebies will only be revealed to those who arrive by bike.

The event is open to all, including those working from home who simply want to take a morning ride and say hello. No ticket is required, though participants may choose to register for an email reminder.

Bike to Work Day is one of the signature events of Pasadena Bike Month, made possible through a partnership between the City of Pasadena Department of Transportation, Day One, and the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition.
