California made news with the US Chamber of Commerce. Nine small businesses were named in their 2023 list and seven of those are in the Greater Los Angeles area!

One of the California winners is Benjilock, a small Pasadena operation that has grown, blending traditional lock-making with high tech fingerprint innovation. It represents the entrepreneurial drive and energy that makes American free enterprise so exciting and necessary to our economic growth.

The annual Top Small Business List is compiled nationally from diverse fields ranging from bakeries and auto repair to information technologies. They are evaluated on growth, community development and involvement, innovation and resilience. 70 companies made the list from a total of 15,000 applicants.

Seven finalists will be chosen and all 70 companies will be honored in Washington DC on October 19, 2023.
