On Saturday, August 21, the Altadena Summer Concert Series will showcase The Hodads with music from the 50’s and 80’s.

The Hodads is a party band consisting of five rad dudes that don’t know how to surf but definitely know how to stir a party.
The band was formed in 1989 and consists of Tony Jones (drums/vocals), Jimmy Street (sax/guitar/vocals), John Hatton (bass/violin/vocals), Bob Schuster (guitar/vocals) and Sterling Smith (keyboard/vocals). Since its formation, the band has appeared in concert with Kool & The Gang, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Brian Setzer, The Smothers Brothers, Jan & Dean, Tony Danza, The Surfaris, Jim Belushi, Steve Vai, Bob Saget, Louie Anderson, Jerry Lewis, Casey Kasem, Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, Lily Tomlin, and played in the movie, “The Alternate” with Eric Roberts, Michael Madsen and Ice T.
The show will start at 7:00 pm sharp at the amphitheater at Farnsworth Park in Altadena. The summer concert series began in 1997, and has since been an annual event, with, of course, the exception of the summer of 2020 due to COVID-19. This event is sponsored by the Altadena Rotary, as well as the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department and the 5th District Supervisorial Office. They are all very excited for this year’s concert series!
