      PASADENA – ColoradoBoulevard.net:

Dogs and their owners are invited to celebrate Halloween and have a howling good time at the annual Bark in the Park: Howl-o-ween at the Playhouse Village.

      By News Desk

The free spooktacular event will take place on Saturday, October 14 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Playhouse Village Park and will feature a costume parade and contests with prizes, treat stations, photo-ops, pet caricatures, and more fun activities for dogs and their humans.

Dress up your pup in their Halloween best for a Paw-rade around Playhouse Village, a Pasadena Walktober featured event. After the mini parade, the fun continues at Playhouse Village Park with Bark in the Park celebration. Photo opportunities abound in Playhouse Village Park and furry friends will be delighted with special treats and activities. Tap into the glorious mystery of the doggie brain with a tarot card reading specifically for dogs by Archetype Yoga, or show off your dog’s best moves at the Trick for Treat stage by Pasadena Playhouse, or even have your pup join you for a dog yoga session with Anytime Fitness. Anaya’s Restaurant will debut their “Man’s Best Friend Combo,” a gourmet taco for humans paired with a special pup taco for your furry best friend, available for purchase during the event. Anaya’s will also be serving up complimentary pup-tinis for a Halloween Yappy Hour. Families can also create dog-themed crafts, have their dog’s caricature drawn by an artist, and participate in other fang-tastic activities with Healthy Spot, Drawn2Art, Southern California Children’s Museum, and more.

Dogs can show off their best scary, adorable, and creative Halloween costumes at the Bark in the Park Howl-o-ween Costume Contest, with prizes awarded for Best Small Dog Costume, Best Big Dog Costume, and Best Group Costume, which is open to entries with multiple dogs or a human and dog combination. Registration for the costume contest is now open at playhousevillage.org/bark.

For additional information on the Bark in the Park: Howl-o-ween celebration, visit playhousevillage.org/bark or contact Playhouse Village Association at (626) 744-0340. Bark in the Park is made possible by the generous support of Playhouse Village Foundation.
