Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger met with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin in Altadena to discuss ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts and hear directly from local survivors.

During the visit, Barger and Zeldin spoke with residents affected by the fire, providing an opportunity for community members to share their experiences and perspectives on the recovery process.
The meeting also highlighted innovative housing initiatives led by Williams Rebuild and The Foothill Catalog Foundation. According to Barger, the organizations are developing streamlined, pre-approved home designs that can be built more quickly and affordably, helping accelerate rebuilding efforts in impacted communities.
Barger emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between local and federal agencies as recovery moves forward.
“It was a pleasure to meet with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin again today,” Barger said. “I’m committed to continuing to work with our federal partners to help our community recover and rebuild.”
The visit underscored the ongoing coordination among county officials, federal agencies, and community organizations working to support residents and advance long-term recovery efforts in Altadena.
