Sincerely Syria has come to Pasadena, and boy are they serious!

      By Diane Orona

Located at 21 South Fair Oaks, in the heart of Old Pasadena, Sincerely Syria General Manger Tony Karmi, along with super Chef Tamam, have brought the most authentic version of Syrian shawarma to our town.

The vibe is Pasadena, but the food is oh so Syrian. Tamam has learned from the foremost of shawarma chefs, Adham Kamal. Kamal hails from Syria originally, but lived in Venezuela for many years, perfecting his recipes. He opened his first restaurant in 2021 in Hollywood, adding Sherman Oaks, Anaheim, and now Pasadena to his locations. Kamal’s aim was to provide the most authentic and delicious chicken and beef/lamb shawarma possible. And he reached his goal. With only two items on the menu, you can be sure that perfection has been achieved. The chicken is prepared with 16 different spices and cooked to perfection, served with pickles, garlic sauce, and fries. The beef/lamb combination includes tomato, onion, tahini, and parsley.  It may seem simplistic, but all the flavors work beautifully. All the chefs have been trained by Kamal and all the meat is 100% prepared according to the halal tradition.

Sincerely Syria’s belief is that staff is family. As locations are added, loyal employees are provided with the opportunity to invest as partners. In the words of Tony Karmi, relationships are strong, full of love, and everyone works from the heart helping one another toward success. With such strong work ethics blended with true caring, it’s no wonder that Sincerely Syria is such a success.

Order in or out; party trays are available; catering of events, which includes the actual shawarma machine, is offered with just a few days’ notice.

      Sincerely, this place is Taiyeb!
