      LOS ANGELES – ColoradoBoulevard.net:

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk just released the fourth post-Election Night ballot count update for the 2022 General Election.

      By News Desk

The update includes 191,312 ballots processed since Saturday’s update (Nov. 12). The total election results count is now 1,799,951 which is 31.98% of registered voters. Election results can be viewed on this link.

The estimated number of outstanding ballots to be processed is 655,300:

      • Vote by Mail ballots (VBM): 640,000
      • Conditional Voter Registration ballots: 15,000
      • Provisional ballots: 300

The bulk of Vote by Mail ballots included in the estimate were received through Election Day by the United States Postal Service or returned in person at a Ballot Drop Box or Vote Center.

The number of outstanding Vote by Mail ballots may increase as the RR/CC continues to accept ballots that are postmarked by Election Day and received through Tuesday, November 15 (seven days after the election). These ballots are not included in the estimate.

Outstanding estimates are Countywide and are not currently available by jurisdiction as ballots are received and processed in batches from throughout the County.

The Official Election Canvass is a 30-day period in which The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk processes and verifies all outstanding ballots to ensure that every eligible ballot cast by Election Day is counted.
