“Caroline Anderson brought a steady, thoughtful approach to public education and always kept students at the center of her work,” Harabedian said. “Her service has strengthened schools in La Cañada Flintridge, and it was an honor to recognize her during AAPI Heritage Month for the impact she has made over the years.”
Anderson made history as the first Asian American woman elected to the La Cañada Unified School District Board of Education. Throughout her time in public service, she has focused on supporting classrooms, advocating for teachers, and ensuring families remain informed and involved in decisions affecting students’ education.
During her tenure on the school board, Anderson has supported efforts to strengthen academic programs and expand opportunities for students across the district. She has also remained active in PTA organizations and worked alongside local education foundations to help secure additional resources for schools.
Community members and colleagues have recognized Anderson for her consistent engagement with families and her commitment to addressing student needs through collaboration and open communication.
According to Harabedian’s office, the recognition was part of the annual AAPI Heritage Month Recognition Ceremony, which honors individuals whose leadership and service have contributed to strengthening communities throughout the district.
