An assault during a music concert at the Rose Bowl Stadium last weekend has led to the arrest of a 23-year-old suspect, Pasadena police announced Thursday.

      By News Desk

On August 16, 2025, at approximately 8:30 pm, officers responded to reports of an altercation in one of the stadium’s seating areas. According to investigators, three individuals sustained varying degrees of injury after being assaulted by a male suspect who allegedly became agitated following a spilled drink.

With the aid of surveillance video and numerous public tips, detectives from the Pasadena Police Department were able to identify the suspect as Julio Cesar Lopez Zavala of Hawthorne, CA.

Zavala was taken into custody on August 21 by Pasadena police personnel in Hawthorne. Formal charges are currently pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities have not released the conditions of the victims but confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.
