ArtCenter’s Reveal 2 Exhibition Unveils Hidden Narratives in Cutting-Edge Graduate Design

ArtCenter College of Design will showcase the second installment of its Reveal exhibition series, titled Reveal: Uncovering Layers of Creativity 2, running from July 24, 2025, through January 30, 2026, at the Graduate Studies Gallery located in the Mullin Transportation Design Center on the College’s South Campus.

This new exhibition features the work of 13 graduate students from a diverse range of disciplines, including Industrial Design; Graphic Design; Media Design Practices; Art; Spatial Experience Design; Interaction Design; Brand Design & Strategy; and Furniture, Lighting, and Fixtures.

The exhibition invites these emerging artists to explore the theme of “unveiling” through various media, whether it be through hidden meanings, experimental processes, or the transformation of materials. Viewers will be challenged to look beyond the surface to uncover the narratives embedded in each piece, gaining insight into the unique methodologies that inform the students’ creative journeys.

Opening Reception and Micro-Thesis Presentations

The opening reception for Reveal: Uncovering Layers of Creativity 2 will be held on Thursday, July 24, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in the Graduate Studies Gallery. A special program will take place from 6:00 – 7:00 pm in Room 230, where participating students will give cross-disciplinary micro-thesis presentations, offering a deeper look at their work and the stories behind their artistic processes. Both the reception and the presentations are free and open to the public.

The exhibition features an array of graduate students, each representing a different field of design. The participating artists are:

The visual identity for the exhibition was designed by Graduate Graphic Design student Umang Ahluwalia.

Black Box Thesis Talks

As part of the exhibition, the Graduate Studies Gallery will host Black Box Thesis Talks on select Fridays at 5:00 pm. These monthly events provide an intimate setting for the public to hear directly from the artists about their creative processes and the personal insights they’ve gathered during their time at ArtCenter. The talks will also be live-streamed on the @ecoresearchlab Instagram account for those who cannot attend in person.
