ArtCenter College of Design announced a new partnership with Siemens Digital Industries Software to provide students with access to the Siemens Designcenter suite of product engineering software. This software is used by global companies in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and electronics.

      By News Desk

The software will be integrated into ArtCenter’s curriculum later this year, beginning with an advanced CAD course for upper-level students. The course will give students hands-on experience using industry-standard tools to develop design solutions.

“Using the same technology in the classroom that is used in industry ensures our students gain valuable real-world experience,” said Damien Vizcarra, Associate Chair of Product Design at ArtCenter.

Siemens is providing licenses for both faculty and students. ArtCenter plans to use the software to enhance its design curriculum and prepare students for careers in advanced technology fields.

“By equipping students with industry-leading tools like Designcenter, we’re helping them engage in the same product development workflows used by top companies,” said Danny Sicking, Senior Director at Siemens Digital Industries Software.

The partnership aims to ensure ArtCenter students are well-prepared for careers in the competitive engineering and design sectors.
