The popular Arroyo Run and Walk clubs will gather at a new starting point for their monthly meetup on April 11, shifting, just for this month, to the south side of the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center at 352 Arroyo Blvd., Pasadena, CA 91103. Participants are asked to meet near the picnic table at the south end of Parking Lot 1.

The clubs, which traditionally meet every second Saturday at 8:00 am for a 5K (3‑ish mile) trail run and a 2‑ish mile walk, are temporarily relocating from their usual Pasadena Patagonia–adjacent Smith Alley starting spot. Meetup time remains 8:00 am, with start times scheduled for 8:15 am.

      Walking Club Welcomes Special Guest

Those more inclined to stroll than run are invited to join the Walk Club for its roughly 2‑mile route, which returns to base around the same time as the runners. Walkers are encouraged to come solo or bring friends, family members, kids, or furry companions.

This month’s walk will feature a special guest: Paloma Avila, Program Director for the One Arroyo Foundation. Avila will lead a walk‑and‑talk exploring the ecology and history of the Arroyo, as well as the foundation’s ongoing work in trail restoration and maintenance.

      Post‑Event Social and Giveaways

After the run and walk, participants are invited to stay for Das Gud Coffee, a group photo, and treats. Attendees who RSVP and check in will also have a chance to win a prize.

A map of the temporary meetup location is available via the event organizers.
