As time goes by, our memories might fade, but this Arcadia workshop aims to help preserve the pictures that spark those memories.

A new workshop in Arcadia is offering residents a chance to safeguard their most meaningful memories before time takes its toll.
Titled Digitization & Storage, the program is the latest in an ongoing series of educational workshops and demonstrations hosted by the Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage. The initiative focuses on helping individuals preserve personal and family history, particularly photographs that often serve as powerful triggers of cherished memories.
As memories naturally fade over time, the workshop emphasizes the importance of protecting the physical images that help keep those moments alive. Participants will learn practical digitization techniques and storage strategies used by museum professionals, providing them with tools to better care for their own collections.
In addition to hands-on guidance, attendees will also have the opportunity to view examples from the museum’s own archives, offering insight into how historical materials are preserved for future generations.
Through this program, the museum continues its mission of connecting the community with its past, ensuring that personal stories, captured in photographs and keepsakes, are not lost to time.
Digitization and Storage Workshop Saturday, March 28 10:00 am - 11:00 am Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage 382 West Huntington Drive Arcadia, CA 91007
