“I am grateful for the opportunities I’ve had during my career in law enforcement, and I thank my family and friends who have supported me throughout this journey,” Nakamura said. “It has been an honor and privilege to lead the men and women of the Arcadia Police Department.”
During his tenure as chief, Nakamura focused on community safety initiatives, modernization of department technology, and strengthening officer recruitment and training efforts to better serve Arcadia residents.
City officials said the process to identify the department’s next Chief of Police is currently underway.
