The City of Arcadia is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a free, family-friendly event on Saturday, July 4, at Santa Anita Park. Gates open at 6:00 pm, and a patriotic drone show begins at 9:00 pm.

The celebration will feature live music by The Answer on the main stage, a performance by a local youth band in the kids’ area, free carnival games, friendly competitions, food vendors, community booths, and a patriotic drone show. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a meaningful “Letters to Service Members” station, where guests can write messages of appreciation and encouragement to active-duty military personnel.

- 6:00 pm: Gates Open, Concert by the Answer begins, Free carnival games
- 6:30 pm: Hula Hoop Contest
- 7:15 pm: Watermelon Eating Contest
- 8:00 pm: Baby Races
- 8:40 pm: Welcome & National Anthem
- 9:00 pm: Drone show
Free parking will be available at Gates 3, 5, and 8. Pre-registration is encouraged for general admission, and box seats are available for purchase.
Prohibited items include alcoholic beverages, glass containers, balls, balloons, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, Frisbees, flags, kites, tables, canopies, coolers, backpacks, chairs, and pop-up (easy-up) tents. Only licensed service animals are permitted.

Arcadia Pride in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
Adding to the city’s Fourth of July celebration, the Arcadia High School Marching Band and Color Guard will represent Arcadia and California during the America 250 celebrations on the East Coast. On July 3, the band will participate in Philadelphia’s Salute to Independence Day Parade, followed by the America 250 Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C., on July 4.
