Anxiously Awaited “Passion” at Pasadena’s Boston Court Forced to Cancel

Pasadenans have been looking forward to the production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Passion” at Boston Court Pasadena.

      By Carol Edger Germain

At first, “Passion” was optimistically rescheduled to the Fall; but COVID-19 has won another round and Boston Court Pasadena sadly announced today that the only option at this point is to cancel the production with no new projected production date.

Live entertainment has always been a balm for the soul when other things in life might not be going so well, and Boston Court has endlessly provided the most wonderful escapes for our community. The disappointment of this pandemic turning into a scourge for which there is no end in sight, has left us without that escape from our current circumstances.

Hang in there, wear your mask, forego risky gatherings, and hopefully our efforts will help us get our lives back sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, below is a heartfelt but sad goodbye from the actors and director of “Passion.”
