        Altadena Town Council Prepares for Action-Packed September Meeting

      The Altadena Town Council is gearing up for a highly anticipated and information-packed meeting on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at 7:00 pm at the Altadena Community Center (730 E. Altadena Drive).

      With a full agenda covering everything from public safety to community recovery initiatives and election updates, the session promises to be both engaging and impactful.

      Residents who cannot attend in person are encouraged to watch the meeting live at Pasadena Media’s YouTube channel.

      Meeting Highlights

      • Opening Ceremonies will include a flag salute led by student honoree Hayden Meadows, followed by roll call and the approval of the evening’s agenda.
      • Officers’ Reports from Chair Victoria Knapp, Vice Chair Nic Arnzen, Treasurer Milissa Marona, and others will set the tone for the evening.
      • The Public Safety Section will feature updates from local enforcement and emergency services, including Captain Marquez (Altadena Sheriff’s Station), Officer Keller (California Highway Patrol), Maria Grycan (L.A. County Fire), and Ranger Raymond Kidd (Forestry).
      • A special presentation by Tax Assessor Jeffrey Prang will offer insights into property assessments and local tax matters.
      • Community reports will provide updates on a wide range of issues including:
        • Tree restoration efforts on Eaton Fire Parkway (Steven Gutierrez, L.A. County Public Works)
        • Draft Equity Framework (Alicia Ramos, L.A. County Public Works)
        • Updates from the Altadena Library District, LA County Parks, Eaton Canyon Nature Center, and more.
      • Several Council committees will share updates, with an Action Item on the 2025 Election Rules presented by Election Chair Isis Moulden.
      • The public will have the opportunity to voice concerns and comments during the General Public Comment period. Those wishing to speak must submit a comment card before or during the meeting.
      • The meeting will conclude with Census Tract Reports from areas 4602 and 4611 before adjournment.

      With its wide-ranging agenda, this meeting underscores the Council’s ongoing commitment to transparency, community engagement, and local progress. All Altadena residents are encouraged to participate and stay informed.
