As thousands of families continue to grapple with the aftermath of the Eaton Fire, a new community-focused event aims to provide support, clarity, and a path forward. The Altadena Rebuild Trade Show, organized by Day One, will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Collaboratory in Altadena.

The free, survivor-led event is designed to bring together a wide network of resources, professionals, and community voices under one roof. Organizers say the trade show will offer a more interactive and hands-on experience than a traditional information fair, allowing displaced families to explore tangible rebuilding options and envision future possibilities.
The event seeks to deliver not only practical information but also a sense of comfort and confidence for residents still navigating uncertainty after the fire.
Attendees will have access to guidance on a range of recovery-related topics, including housing challenges, insurance issues, contractor fraud prevention, and navigating assistance programs such as FEMA and CalAssist. Additional focus areas include senior and emergency housing, land banking strategies, interim-to-permanent housing solutions, and modular and adaptive reuse approaches.
Organizers will also host a dedicated Media Lounge throughout the event. The space will offer structured opportunities for journalists, documentary filmmakers, and content creators to conduct interviews and participate in moderated discussions with fire survivors and subject matter experts.
Admission to the Altadena Rebuild Trade Show is free, though registration is required.
