The gathering, themed “Gather, Connect, Belong,” will run from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and is designed as a relaxed, family‑friendly event that encourages connection across all ages.
Organized by L.A. County, the afternoon will feature two dedicated activity areas: a Mindfulness Zone and a Youth Zone. Each space offers its own lineup of activities tailored to different interests.
The Mindfulness Zone will host a yoga session from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by a sound bowl session from 5:15 pm to 5:45 pm. Both are intended to give attendees a chance to unwind, reset, and enjoy a moment of calm within the lively park setting.
Meanwhile, the Youth Zone will offer jumpers, scrapbooking, and wood painting—hands‑on activities that give kids a chance to create, play, and explore. Families can also enjoy classic picnic treats, with snacks, beverages, and Dodger Dogs available throughout the afternoon.
The county encourages residents to bring friends, neighbors, and loved ones for a relaxed community experience at Loma Alta Park. With activities for all ages and a welcoming atmosphere, the event aims to strengthen local bonds and celebrate the spirit of Altadena.
