Alhambra residents and other California residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste and electronic waste during a drive-thru collection event on Saturday, August 29, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Drive-Thru Collection will take place at Los Angeles County Public Works Headquarters, 900 S. Fremont Ave., Alhambra. Organizers are encouraging residents to drive up and drop off accepted materials as a way to protect public health and the environment.
There is no charge for California residents of any township.
The event, hosted by the Sanitation Districts and Los Angeles County Public Works, will accept a variety of household hazardous and electronic waste, including paints and solvents, cleaners, oils, sharps, old microwaves, television sets and batteries.
Residents can find a full list of accepted materials at LACSD.org/hhw.
With the drive-thru format, residents can dispose of unwanted hazardous and electronic waste while decluttering their homes, making it a practical way to spend a Saturday.
