The City of Alhambra announced its participation in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade, marking its 97th consecutive year in this iconic celebration. This year’s parade theme, “The Magic in Teamwork,” will be brought to life through the creativity of a local student.

Elementary students from the Alhambra Unified School District were invited to submit float designs, and the winning concept came from Ngoc Han Le of Martha Baldwin Elementary School. Her design, “Honey, You’re a Star,” was selected for its imaginative connection to the parade’s theme and its vibrant artistic flair.
The float will feature:
- The classic Alhambra neon sign
- A giant animated bee watering a garden of Southern California blooms in Alhambra Park
- Two smaller bees gazing at honeycomb stars, symbolizing teamwork and community spirit
Volunteer opportunities to help decorate the float begin December 6, with sign-ups available now on the City’s website. Volunteers are essential to the float’s success, and the City encourages residents to join in this beloved tradition.
Be sure to watch for Alhambra’s float as it makes its way down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena on January 1, 2026!

Beautifully done congratulations
