Held in collaboration with Republic Services, the bi-annual event aims to promote environmental sustainability and encourage community participation through proper recycling and disposal of household materials.
A variety of free services will be available to attendees, including recycling for aluminum cans and plastic bottles, on-site document shredding, compost distribution, and electronic waste disposal. Accepted electronic items include televisions, computers, printers, and tablets.
Residents utilizing the document shredding service are limited to five banker boxes, with a maximum size of 12 inches by 10 inches by 15 inches. Those picking up compost are asked to bring their own sturdy containers.
Event organizers note that the recycling event is strictly drive-thru, with no walk-ups permitted. Certain items will not be accepted, including batteries, lightbulbs, and household hazardous waste.
