Alhambra Police Department will be hosting a Youth Academy for Alhambra Unified School District students between the ages of 14 to 18 years old from June 10 to June 20, 2025.

Students will not only gain a deeper understanding of the role of law enforcement but also learn about ways they can make a positive impact in their community.
Investing in our youth is the key to building a stronger and safer community. This Youth Academy is a dynamic program designed to educate and inspire young individuals, instilling in them the values of integrity, responsibility, and compassion. This opportunity will prepare students with vital skills for successful careers in the public or private sector.
Instructors include sworn peace officers such as Detectives, Patrol Officers, School Resource Officers, and Dispatchers. They use a diverse range of teaching methods to engage students, including impactful videos, thought-provoking case scenarios, role-playing exercises, collaborative group work, and interactive, hands-on learning activities.
Students will learn about:
- Crime Scene Investigations
- Internet Safety/Social Media
- Traffic and Pedestrian Safety
- Drugs/Alcohol/Vaping
- Decision-Making/Peer Pressure
- Gangs/Gang Prevention
- Leadership/Character Counts
- Police Scenarios & More
