Alhambra Library Kicks Off Summer Reading Challenge

Pack your bags and grab your crew to take a trek around Alhambra Library during the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge Kickoff.

Be the first to register for the challenge and pick up your exclusive summer reading tote. Raising Cane’s will be on board with refreshing lemonade. Enjoy music, food trucks, drawings, games, and more. Food trucks will be parked in front of the Library from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge will run from June 9 through July 20, but start charting your course today by visiting the Library and picking your books to fuel your reading journey. Read around the world with the Alhambra Library this summer.

All Ages:

• June 7 at 10:00 am – Summer Reading Kickoff
• June 24 at 5:00 pm – Plant Swap

Kids/Families:

• June 14 at 11:00 am & 12:00 pm – Arty Loon Magical Variety Show
• June 21 at 11:00 am & 12:00 pm – Wild Wonders Animal Show
• June 28 at 11:00 am – Family Craft Workshop
• July 12 at 11:00 am & 12:00 pm – Upstream Caribbean Music
• July 19 at 11:00 am & 12:00 pm – LEGO® Building Party

Teens:

• June 11 at 2:00 pm – Spring Roll Making Workshop
• June 25 at 2:00 pm – Zine Swap Workshop
• July 9 at 2:00 pm – Stained Glass Workshop

Adults/Teens:

• June 10 at 5:30 pm – Craft Around the World: Africa
• June 18 at 5:30 pm – Craft Around the World: Sweden
• July 2 at 5:30 pm – Craft Around the World: Korea
• July 8 at 5:30 pm – Craft Around the World: India
• July 16 at 5:30 pm – Craft Around the World: Russia
