ALHAMBRA ELECTIONS 2020
On Monday, August 10, Sasha Renée Pérez, candidate for Alhambra City Council, announced that she raised over $33,000, the most raised by any Alhambra candidate by the mid-year filing deadline.
By News Desk
Pérez raised three times more than her opponent by the filing deadline. In a statement to our newsroom regarding her strong fundraising numbers, Pérez shared:
Over the course of my campaign, I have met many community members and reconnected with those I have known since my childhood. I’m running for City Council to continue that legacy and help build Alhambra’s future. That’s why I am so proud to have raised over $33,000, without taking developer money.
My campaign is powered by community leaders, everyday people, and working families. I am inspired to continue serving our community.
Pérez has already secured major endorsements including the Alhambra Democratic Club, the Latino Coalition of Los Angeles, and numerous labor unions.
Alhambra Councilmember Adele Andrade-Stadler said: “During these unprecedented times, residents want a leader who is committed, with a common-sense approach, and who will be accessible and transparent. Sasha is that leader, and I am proud to support her campaign. I look forward to working with her on the City Council.”

Yes! Developer money out! NO on the villages!
Sasha is going to be a great part of Alhambra’s city council! Got my vote for sure!
I posted a comment calling her out on her wearing a mini dress to a 90 year old’s birthday on the block, as well as always posting selfies and pictures to fluff her ego whenever she’s “helping others”… I actually asked her genuinely what that was about and she responded by deleting the comment. She could have responded diplomatically and addressed it like an adult and it would have made me reflect but nope. She didn’t. So she gets no vote.
Love SAsha! Love Adele!…we need change. can’t wait to vote in november…
This is great! She’s been working so hard for this. Go Sasha Go!
Taking off opposing comments. Wow. What are you afraid of ?
Quite obvious you are same person as “notfooled”…? You commented on the same post within 5 minutes using a different name at 12:40 AM.
Weird stalker behavior?
YAWN! Yet another liberal Democrat with “major endorsements including the Alhambra Democratic Club, the Latino Coalition of Los Angeles, and NUMEROUS labor unions.”
These are part of the same activists who are defunding our police, keeping our kids home when the science shows kids are minimally susceptible, encouraging the riots by releasing dangerous criminals and so on.
You better watch what you wish for because she’s no better.
I like that she protects schools and students… I will NOT support other candidate of they do not protect schools and students!!.. When did she say defunding police?? I see that nowhere! More lying with bot account just like facebook…. “notfooled” just trying to “fool residents”!
Barbara, wake up. What the City News Desk (aka Sean McMorris) is not telling you is that Sasha received thousand of dollars from outside unions. Her agenda is to require all new construction jobs to be union only trade (This unfortunately will kill the average homeowner and make it more hard for us to add on or upgrade our properties), defund the police and build housing projects. If you really knew what you were talking about, you would check her Facebook page out and see numerous photos of her protesting in Downtown LA to defund the police. I saved those screen shots and have handed them out to my neighbors in the Bean Tract. All Sasha is – is a puppet for Adele Andrade-Stadler. If she should get elected the first action she will take will to fire the City Manager and Attorney with Adele and Katherine Lee. Sasha forgot to mention that she wrote the Facebook page for the ASB post and stirred up an incident that was never racism at AHS. The choice is real clear for District 4 and is not Sasha who is not truthful.
Alhambra residents desperately need a councilwoman like Sasha. Someone that will represent their needs and not special interest groups!
Not really.
agree..
“Without taking developer money”!
Got em’ shakin’ in their boots!!
