On Monday, July 25th, the Alhambra City Council approved the construction of the City of Alhambra’s first dog park located at Almansor/Corto Street.

Speaking on the approval of the dog park by the City Council, Councilwoman Sasha Renée Pérez expressed her gratitude to city staff along with the City of Alhambra Parks & Recreation Commission for their work.
“This is an item that has been long awaited by many residents of the City of Alhambra and I am overjoyed to see our city continuing to invest in our communities and act on the needs of our residents,” said Councilwoman Pérez. “I’d also like to recognize our city staff and the City of Alhambra Parks & Recreation Commission for their continued efforts over the years in reviewing various sites for a dog park.”
The approved site for the Alhambra Dog Park at Almansor/Corto Street will include an artificial grass surface, fencing, dog toys, benches, and an irrigation system to maintain the cleanliness of the dog park surface.
