With summer solstice comes the longest day of the year. Happy Summer Solstice and enjoy the activities around town.

      ♦ One Colorado ♦

Orchestral pop outfit Kan WakanOrchestral pop outfit Kan Wakan will take the stage at One Colorado on June 21, with an opening set from DJ Marion Hodges on the decks at 7:30pm.

      7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

      Location: One Colorado Courtyard

One ColoradoOver the last few years the band has emerged as one of LA’s strongest talents. KCRW was an early supporter of Kan Wakan – so early, they went by a different name at the time – and we’re thrilled to present their artfully created noir-kissed sound.

Their full-length debut, “Moving On”, comes out on Verve in early June.

Pasadena and L.A. View from Mt. Lowe (Photo: Emmanuel Krauletz)Take a morning or afternoon mini-vacation from everything and hike up Mt. Lowe to enjoy the view of Pasadena and downtown L.A.

Hiking up Mt. Lowe trail in Altadena/Pasadena is a journey letting a hiker’s imagination grasp history in the San Gabriel Mountains over 100 years ago.

Pasadena-HikeMount Lowe was the site of the Mount Lowe Railway, which enabled one to ride from Pasadena/Altadena to Mount Lowe Hotel and Resort (currently the site of Mount Lowe Campground).
