ActiveSGV (San Gabriel Valley) is hosting a free bike ride and a behind-the-scenes look at existing and proposed water projects in the Arroyo Seco on Sunday, July 12, 9:00 am – 11:00 am, for a family-friendly Tour de Arroyo.

The beginner-friendly bike ride will begin and end at Memorial Park, 85 E. Holly St., in Pasadena and take participants on a behind-the-scenes look at existing and proposed water projects in the Arroyo Seco. This ride is BYOB (bring your own bike). E-bikes are welcome.
The route is approximately 6 miles of bicycling with some hills, and approximately 1/2 mile walking.
Timeline (subject to change):
- 9:00 am – 9:30 am: Sign in for a chance to win raffle.
- 9:30 am: Roll out
- 11:00 am: Return + Raffle
The park is adjacent to the Memorial Park Metro (A) Line Station for those able to take public transit.
The ride is aimed at riders with Beginner/Intermediate experience levels. The group will be riding on shared roads with mixed traffic at a pace of 10-12 mph, with gradual elevation gain.

What to Bring:
- A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears)
- A helmet is required if under 18
- Water Bottle (with water)
- Bike lock (If you plan to stay in Old Pasadena for food/drink)
- Additional cash/credit to purchase food & drinks
- Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on a bike child seat
Pre-register via Eventbrite, and in the event of a rain forecast, organizers will contact you within 24 hours to confirm or cancel the ride.
