The sales are over. The stores are emptied. Your nerves are frayed. What to do?

Laugh, of course. And let someone else do all the work!
Jane Austen: UnScripted, a 90-minute night of improv in the style of Jane Austen, returns to The Broad Stage in Santa Monica for two performances this coming Saturday, December 21 at 4 pm and 8 pm. Since the Impro Theatre (formerly known as Los Angeles Theatresports) last performed this piece, they received a 2016 Ovation nomination for it – and critics have given it (and the company) rave reviews.
An extra bonus for HBO and film fans: Edi Patterson, a long-time member of the troupe, is now appearing in the smash film Knives Out as well as HBO’s series The Righteous Gemstones.
Once specializing in short form, Impro Theatre now does a full, long form night of completely improvised dialogue and comedy based on audience suggestions in costumes and dialogue specific to the world’s famous novelist – thwarted romance, missed letters in the mail, hysterics over mislaid china – anything can happen – and why not sit back, relax and enjoy it all without having to lift a finger? Unless of course you have some good ideas – then throw them out and watch the fun unfurl.
The holidays are hard. You deserve this.
