The Cure threw their hat in the “artist-curated festival” ring, by announcing the inaugural Pasadena Daydream Festival.

      By Rena Kurlander

The Pasadena Daydream Festival will take place August 31, 2019 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

In addition to The Cure, the new festival’s lineup will include Pixies, Deftones, Mogwai, Throwing Muses, The Joy Formidable, Chelsea Wolfe, The Twilight Sad, Emma Ruth Rundle, and Kaelan Mikla.

The Daydream Fest location (Brookside at the Rose Bowl) is the same location of the Arroyo Seco Weekend festival which has yet to announce its new date.

The Cure will head to Pasadena after their 40th anniversary appearance at BST Hyde Park in London. Tickets will go on sale May 17, 2019.

Colorado Boulevard.net will announce road closures when available.

Is this related to Arroyo Seco weekend? Any idea if that’s going to happen?

They cancelled Arroyo Seco this year and this is replacing it.

Michelle Carden Escobar oh bummer. I heard a rumor they were moving it to October. It was such a challenge getting it off the ground.
